Eligibility

Specific eligibility for admission to one of the Veterans Homes is determined by Illinois law and Department rules.

Veterans must have either entered service from Illinois, or had been a resident of Illinois for one year preceding application, for admittance into a Veterans Home.

Peacetime veterans with one year of HONORABLE military service may also be eligible for admission at Quincy or Anna.

Other qualifying conditions, as required, must be met. A spouse, or surviving spouse, may also qualify for admittance to the Quincy Veterans Home.
