If not eligible for VA health care and are age 65 or older OR under age 65 with certain disabilities OR any age with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) visit What is Medicare to learn more about Medicare or contact your local SSA office or call 1-800-772-1213. Plan participants may also sign up for Medicare Part A via the Social Security website.
