The IDVA partners with organizations and institutions to develop innovative approaches and initiatives to address the evolving concerns of Illinois’ 600,000 veterans.
IVAC advises the IDVA on the issues and concerns of Illinois’ veterans and provides recommendations for future initiatives.
IDVA is participating in The Governor’s Challenge, a nationwide effort to eliminate veterans’ suicide by developing practical strategies and tactics.
The Veterans’ Service-Related Ailments Task for will review and make recommendations regarding veterans' service-related ailments that are not recognized by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and assess ways the State of Illinois can improve the rate at which disability compensation claims are approved by the federal government.
