Headstone or Grave Marker Reimbursement
The Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs will provide next of kin with up to $125 in reimbursement for the cost of transportation and/or installation of VA-provided headstones or memorial markers within Illinois. This payment will be made only after the headstone/marker has been received and placed, and local transportation and installation fees have been paid. To apply, complete the VA form 3WVGR and send it with proof of payment to:
